Eminent Visiting Professor
Professor Adrian Wilkinson
Adrian Wilkinson is Professor and Director of the Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing at Griffith University, Australia. Prior to his 2006 appointment, Adrian worked at Loughborough University in the UK where he was Professor of Human Resource Management from 1998, and Director of Research for the Business School. Adrian has also worked at the Manchester School of Management at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He holds Visiting Professorships at Loughborough University, Sheffield University and the University of Durham, and is an Academic Fellow at the Centre for International Human Resource Management at the Judge Institute, University of Cambridge. Adrian has authored/co-authored/edited thirty books and over 150 articles in academic journals.

Adrian served on the Australian Research Council College of Experts from 2008-2010. He is both an Academician (Fellow) of the Academy of Social Sciences in the UK and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. He has been short listed for HR Magazine’s most influential International thinker. At Griffith he has received the Vice Chancellor's Senior award for Research Excellence.

Professor Arthur H. Goldsmith
Professor Goldsmith joined the Williams School faculty in 1990 after teaching previously at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Connecticut in Storrs. In addition to teaching course on macroeconomics and on race he has also taught courses on Behavior Economics, the Bell Curve, and Economic Themes in Literature and Film. Many of the courses he leads incorporate service learning and virtually all of them are interdisciplinary oriented since they draw on insights from other disciplines to foster a deeper understanding of the topics being explored. A global perspective is also emphasized.

His research combines insights from economics, psychology, sociology, and history to explore questions regarding wages, employment, unemployment, psychological well-being, access to health-care, educational accumulation, and the link between children's well-being and subsequent life outcomes. He has published articles in a number of the professions leading journals including: the Journal of Economic Literature, the Journal of Economic Perspectives, the Journal of Human Resources, Economic Inquiry, the Southern Economic Journal, and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. Grants from the National Science Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation have supported his work in recent years. Professor Goldsmith has served as Vice President of the Southern Economics Association, and serves on the editorial board of both the Journal of Economic Psychology, and the Journal of Socio-Economics.

Marie Ambrose Nathan A/L Maria Stanislaus
After obtaining his Economics degree from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England & Wales. In 2010 he obtained his fellowship of the Institute. He worked in various countries for the last 30 years including United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia. He was partner in a UK accountancy practice and held directorships in a number of companies.

He eventually branched out as a business consultant and worked a number of years in corporatization, merger and acquisition roles including acting as a receiver and liquidator whilst employed by Price Waterhouse, Malaysia. He also served as the Finance Director of an oil palm refinery which became the second biggest single refinery in Malaysia.

Hj Shazali Bin Dato Hj Sulaiman
Hj Shazali Dato Hj Sulaiman is the resident partner of KPMG Brunei Darussalam. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom and joined KPMG Brunei Darussalam in 1989. He worked with KPMG London for 6 years and specialized initially in the shipping and insurance industry and later in the banking and finance industry.

He has also extensive experience in the oil and gas services industry. Shazali is the Chairman of the Brunei Darussalam International Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also serves on the committee of the Brunei Darussalam Accreditation Council on Accounting and Management, an appointment made by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam through the Minister of Education and also the Brunei IT Council. He was also a member of three working Ministerial committees: Committee for Economic Recovery, Committee for Banking and Finance and Committee for Facilitation. He has served on other numerous Government and Non-Government committees.

Dr Qian Long Kweh
Dr. Qian Long Kweh is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Management of Canadian University Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is a qualified academic having over 10 years of experience and passion into tertiary teaching and empirical research. He has had articles published in ISI-indexed journals with wide readership like European Journal of Operational Research, OMEGA - The International Journal of Management Science, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Applied Economics, International Review of Financial Analysis etc.

Dr Wee Chian Koh
Dr Wee Chian Koh is a Researcher at the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) in Brunei Darussalam. His research interests are in international and development economics, focusing on resource-rich economies. He has worked on a broad range of policy areas including fiscal policy, economic diversification, productivity, unemployment, energy, transport, trade facilitation, and SME development.

Previously, he was an Economist at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where his research work covered commodity markets, global recessions, debt crises, and informality in emerging markets and developing economies. His recent research focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic by taking an interdisciplinary approach, encompassing socioeconomic, epidemiological, and public health perspectives. He has published more than 50 journal articles, book chapters, development blogs, and policy reports.

Dr Koh holds a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University and a MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation awarded by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

Professor Euston Quah Teong Ewe
Professor Euston Quah is Albert Winsemius Chair Professor and Head of Economics at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and an Adjunct Principal Research Fellow of the Institute of Policy Studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He also holds a joint appointment with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU. He was formerly Chair ,School of Humanities and Social Sciences Vice-Chair of the Sustainable Earth Office, Senate Chair on University Policies at NTU ;and Vice-Dean , Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences ; Deputy Director of the Public Policy Program(now called the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy) ; and headed the economics department at NUS . A prolific writer, Professor Quah had published over 100 papers in major internationally refereed journals and opinion pieces.

Professor Mohamed Tahar Madi
Mohamed Madi earned his MSc (Statistics) from Stanford University, and his PhD (Statistics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is currently working as Advisor in the Office of the UAEU Vice Chancellor. He has also served as Acting Dean, Vice Dean, DBA Director, Assistant Dean for research, and Director of the Internal Funding Unit. Professor Madi has extensive experience in AACSB accreditation, as he was involved in preparations for the initial accreditation for CBE, in 2000. He was also in charge of the reaffirmation of AACSB accreditation in 2009, 2014, and 2018. He also was a co-organizer of the AACSB World Class Practices in Management Education Conference, held in Dubai in 2009.

Professor Madi’s experience extends beyond the national level, to regional, where he served as the AACSB Mentor for King Abdul-Aziz University. He is currently a mentor for 3 universities in Turkey, India, and Brunei. His research encompasses decision theory, reliability and Bayesian Analysis. He has published in several reputable international journals and in the International Encyclopedia of Statistical Science. Professor Madi received several national, regional, and international awards and recognitions during the course of his academic career.

Muhd Jamil Abas’ was until April 2010, the Senior Partner of the Firm and has been in practice for over 28 years. Muhd Jamil Abas’ is well known locally and internationally as a leading legal personality in Brunei for his knowledge and expertise in commercial, funds and syariah banking work. For a number of successive years, Muhd Jamil Abas’ was cited and recognized as a leading lawyer in Brunei by Chambers Asia and IFLR. Since his retirement as a partner, Muhd Jamil Abas’ remains in active legal practice as a legal adviser of the Firm.

Muhd Jamil Abas’ is a Bruneian and was with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan’s Government from 1981 to July 1990. During this tenure he served in the following capacities: – Senior Counsel (civil division) of the Attorney-General’s Chambers, Deputy Public Prosecutor (criminal division) and in the Judicial Service as Magistrate and, subsequently, as Deputy Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.

Muhd Jamil Abas’ is also a part-time Judge of the Judge Advocate’s Office, British Armed Forces, United Kingdom for Brunei Darussalam and a member and committee of the Brunei National Chapter of the ASEAN LAW ASSOCIATION;

Muhd Jamil Abas’ is experienced in banking and finance (both conventional and Islamic since 1991) financial products (such as derivatives), funds (public & private), commercial, joint ventures and corporate work.
