Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Finance (Data Analytics) prepares students to thrive in modern financial systems shaped by digitalisation, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

This programme combines strong foundations in finance with advanced analytical and technological capabilities. Students develop expertise in financial modelling, investment analysis, risk management, and machine learning applications in finance.

The curriculum is aligned with global professional pathways such as CFA, CFP, and ChFC, with particular emphasis on CFA-aligned competencies.

Admission Requirements

English Language (one of the following)
  • Grade 6 in GCE β€˜O’ Level English; OR
  • Grade B in IGCSE English (Second Language); OR
  • IELTS 6.0; OR
  • TOEFL (PBT 550 / IBT 60); OR
  • Band B2 in UBD English Proficiency Test; OR
  • Equivalent qualification.
Mathematics
  • Credit 6 in GCE β€˜O’ Level Mathematics; OR
  • Grade B in IGCSE Mathematics; OR
  • Equivalent qualification.
A Levels
Applicants must meet the required tariff points in relevant English-medium subjects, including at least one relevant subject such as Computer Science, Business Studies, Accounting, or equivalent:
  • 64 points out of 160 points (pre-2017 UCAS tariff) or above for 2 A Levels; OR
  • 80 points out of 200 points (pre-2017 UCAS tariff) or above for 3 A Levels.
Other Academic Pathways
  • International Baccalaureate (minimum 24 points with relevant Higher Level subjects)
  • Relevant HND or equivalent qualification
  • Mature entry (minimum 5 years of relevant work experience)
  • Other recognised qualifications (case-by-case consideration)
