Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Programme Overview

Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (MScLSCM) is a postgraduate programme offered by Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE). This programme is coursework-based and designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in logistics and supply chain management. The programme is applicable to all students enrolling from the August 2025 intake onwards.


Study Format and Credit Structure

The MScLSCM programme accommodates both full-time and part-time students, with the following duration options:

  • Full-time: 18 months (3 semesters)
  • Part-time: 30 months (5 semesters), with the option to complete earlier upon approval from the Programme Leader

The total credit requirement for graduation is 56 modular credits, comprising:

  • 10 Core Modules (40 credits)
  • 4 Optional Modules (16 credits)

Credit Load per Semester:

  • Full-time students: 16–28 modular credits per semester
  • Part-time students: 8–16 modular credits per semester


Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the programme, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A Second Class Bachelor’s degree with Honours from UBD or a recognised university or institution; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree with Honours and at least three years of executive or management experience.

Applicants must also meet the English proficiency requirement through one of the following:

  • C6 in GCE β€˜O’ Level English
  • Grade β€˜B’ in IGCSE English (Second Language)
  • IELTS score of 6
  • TOEFL score of 550
  • Other recognised English proficiency tests as stipulated by UBD

Applicants may be required to undergo entrance tests or interviews to assess their suitability for the programme.

The MScLSCM programme is designed to accommodate both full-time (1.5 year) and part-time (2.5 year) students, with the following duration options:

* Students planning to enroll in the optional module β€˜BL-5308: Action Research Project’ for the January Semester must first complete the core module β€˜BL-5116 / BM-5104: Research Methods and Data Analytics’ in this August Semester. The β€˜BL-5308: Action Research Project’ can be done either through 1) Industry internship project pathway or through 2) Empirical research project pathway. The prerequisite module BL-5116/BM-5104 in this August Semester requires achieving a minimum β€˜Grade A’ for those pursuing the industry internship project pathway or a minimum β€˜Grade B+’ for those opting for the empirical research project pathway.

** A student who completed the core module β€˜BL-5116 /BM-5104 Research Methods and Data Analytics’ in the previous August Semester with a minimum result (either Grade A or Grade B+) can register for the BL-5308: Action Research Project’ in this January Semester. Please note that the tasks, deliverables, and performance for this β€˜BL-5308: Action Research Project’ module will extend until the end of July during the Summer period. This extended timeframe allows students to maximize their learning opportunities and complete the report on industry engagement with immersive experience or empirical research. Each student will be assigned supervisor(s) as necessary.
