Programme Overview

The proposed Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme represents a carefully restructured curriculum built upon the existing Master of Logistics programme. This newly restructured programme aims to deliver a comprehensive postgraduate course that not only covers essential knowledge on the practical aspects of management but also enhances the analytical skills necessary to tackle the complex and ever-evolving landscape of the global logistics and supply chain industry. The programme is designed to cater to the needs of students aspiring to acquire specialised skills and advance their careers in the dynamic fields of logistics and supply chain management and operations. By offering a blend of theoretical concepts, practical applications and scientific and technological advancement, we also empower our students to excel in management positions, both locally and internationally. The programme emphasises on effective and efficient logistics, secured and diversified supply chains to ensure resilient and sustainable growth, weathering disruptions and enhancing standard of life.

The MScLSCM programme is designed to accommodate both full-time (1.5 year) and part-time (2.5 year) students, with the following duration options:

* Students planning to enroll in the optional module β€˜BL-5308: Action Research Project’ for the January Semester must first complete the core module β€˜BL-5116 / BM-5104: Research Methods and Data Analytics’ in this August Semester. The β€˜BL-5308: Action Research Project’ can be done either through 1) Industry internship project pathway or through 2) Empirical research project pathway. The prerequisite module BL-5116/BM-5104 in this August Semester requires achieving a minimum β€˜Grade A’ for those pursuing the industry internship project pathway or a minimum β€˜Grade B+’ for those opting for the empirical research project pathway.

** A student who completed the core module β€˜BL-5116 /BM-5104 Research Methods and Data Analytics’ in the previous August Semester with a minimum result (either Grade A or Grade B+) can register for the BL-5308: Action Research Project’ in this January Semester. Please note that the tasks, deliverables, and performance for this β€˜BL-5308: Action Research Project’ module will extend until the end of July during the Summer period. This extended timeframe allows students to maximize their learning opportunities and complete the report on industry engagement with immersive experience or empirical research. Each student will be assigned supervisor(s) as necessary.
